Job Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company by pioneering our estimating department. The Project Estimator will collect and analyze information to estimate costs of projects and services for assigned departments and projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· This role will be responsible for establishing a new department, which will eventually include a team of other estimators.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Estimates the cost of new and proposed projects and services including labor, equipment, materials, and other general conditions.
· Create and maintain budgets and track changes throughout the project.
· Analyzes changes to the projects and services provided.
· Analyze the feasibility of potential projects.
· Develop and maintain great relationships with vendors and trades.
· Works with other departments to produce detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs.
· Documents data and statistical procedures used in conducting cost analysis.
· Assists in preparation of the annual budget to determine standard costs.
· Assists with purchasing materials and attaining better purchasing leverage.
· Provide general guidance to other employees regarding project details.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent analytical skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
· Proficient with estimating software.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in related discipline is required.
· At least 5 years of related experience required; 8 or more is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range and Benefits
$60,000+ annually (based on experience), paid weekly
